Set up Mietto in 20 minutes
Everything below takes about 20 minutes, and you can stop after any step and carry on later.

Create your account about 3 minutes
Open mietto.app/signup. Choose a username, enter your email address, pick Landlord under I am a:, choose a password and tap Create Free Account.
Mietto then sends you an email. Tap the link in it and you're signed in. The link works for 24 hours; if the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, look in your spam folder.

Add your flat about 2 minutes
Under My Properties, tap Add Property. For Title, write whatever you call the flat, such as "Top 4". Then the Address and the Monthly Rent, and tap Register Property.

Add your tenant about 3 minutes
On the flat's card, tap Tenants, then Invite New Tenant. There are two ways:
Invite by email
Enter your tenant's email address. Under Lease start date (optional), put the day the lease really began, even if that was two years ago: it's what lets you fill in the months before Mietto in the next step. Tap Send Invitation.
Your tenant gets an email with a button. Choosing a password is their whole signup, and there's nothing to install. It's often quicker to tap Copy next to the Invite Link and send it on WhatsApp.
Offline tenant
If your tenant isn't joining yet, enter just their name and the lease start, and tap Add offline tenant. You keep the record yourself, and you can invite them later with everything intact.

Fill in the months before Mietto about 2 minutes
On the flat's card, tap Payments, then Catch up. Under Paid up to and including, pick the last month your tenant paid. Every month from the lease start up to that one is marked as paid in one go.
This works as soon as the lease start is set, even before your tenant has accepted the invitation.

Every month from now on
Your tenant opens Mietto, taps Pay Your Rent and Pay Now, picks the month, uploads the receipt from their bank and taps Confirm Submission. You get a notification: open the flat's Payments and tap the green ✓ to approve it, or the red ✗ to reject it with a reason your tenant will see.
Paid in cash, or your tenant is offline? Tap Mark as paid on the month yourself.
You don't have to chase anyone. On the 1st of the month Mietto reminds a tenant who is on Mietto, and on the 5th again if nothing has come in, in the tenant's own language.

At tax time
Open My Income, tap See full analytics, then Export PDF. You get the year's rent flat by flat and month by month, with the receipt behind each payment: useful for your tax return, or for your tax adviser.
What Mietto doesn't do
The rent never passes through Mietto: your tenant still pays by bank transfer, or in cash. Mietto doesn't connect to your bank and gives no tax or legal advice. It's free during the beta.
