👻 Offline tenants - run any lease without waiting for a signup

New

07 Jul 2026

Not every tenant wants an app — and now they don't need one. When adding a tenant you can create an offline tenant with just their name: you log the payments yourself and keep the full ledger, history and reports.

Changed your mind later? One click on "Invite to Mietto" sends them a proper invitation — and when they join, the entire payment history is already there waiting for them.

Thank you, for using Mietto. 💙

Title: 📅 Add your existing lease — with its real start date

06 Jul 2026

Your lease didn't start today — and now Mietto knows that. When inviting a tenant you can set the real start date of the lease (even years back), or edit it later under Manage Tenants.

Then use the new "Catch up" button in the payment ledger to mark all past months as paid in one go. Full payment history, complete picture, one minute of setup.

Thank you for using Mietto. 💙

🌍 Switch languages anytime + a new blog

01 Jul 2026

You can now switch Mietto between English, German, and Greek right from the footer — no account settings needed. Pick your language and the whole site follows.

We've also launched the Mietto blog with practical guides for tenants and landlords — starting with how to get your deposit ("Kaution") back in Austria. Find it in the footer under "Blog".

Mietly is now Mietto 🎉

12 Jun 2026

We have a new name! Mietly is now Mietto — same app, same team, same mission: rent payments that both landlords and tenants can trust.

What's changing:
• The new home is mietto.app — update your bookmark!
• Emails now come from @mietto.app
• Support is now support@mietto.app

What's NOT changing: your account, your data, your payment history — everything stays exactly as it is. You don't need to do anything.

Thanks for being part of the beta 💙

A cleaner payment ledger

12 Jun 2026

For landlords — the My Payments view got a visual overhaul:

• Payments are now grouped by tenant. Your current tenant's payments come first under a green "Current tenant" header, and previous tenants follow under their own "Past Lease" sections — each showing the lease period (e.g. Jun 2025 – Jun 2026).

• Past leases appear slightly faded so the active tenancy always stands out. Hover over them to bring them into focus.

• Less clutter: the tenant's name is no longer repeated on every row.

Approving and rejecting payments works exactly as before — it just reads much better now.

Honest revenue numbers: earned vs. prepaid

12 Jun 2026

A big accuracy improvement for landlords:

• Revenue now means money for months that have actually arrived. If a tenant pays several months in advance, those amounts no longer inflate your Annual Revenue — they appear separately as a clear blue "prepaid for future months" note, on both My Income and Analytics.

• The monthly revenue chart now draws future, prepaid months as a lighter dashed line, so you can see at a glance what's real and what's early.

• "Avg / Month" is now calculated over the months that have actually passed — mid-year averages finally make sense.

• Nothing is hidden: earned + prepaid always adds up to everything you've collected. Past years are unaffected.

Better analytics navigation + a payment fix

11 Jun 2026

Two improvements for landlords:

• The Analytics page got a clearer way to drill down: at the bottom you'll now find one card per property, with all of its tenants inside (current and past). Tap any tenant — or "All tenants", or "Entire portfolio" — and every chart and number updates to that selection. Your chosen time range stays put.

• Fixed: rejecting a payment from the property Payments page could fail silently with an error. Rejections (with reason) work reliably again.

Integrity fix: one property, one tenant — enforced

11 Jun 2026

An important data-integrity fix for landlords:

• It was possible to send a new invitation (for example by pressing "Re-rent" on a past tenant) while a property still had an active tenant — which could result in two active tenants on the same property. This is now strictly blocked: as long as a property has an active tenant or a pending invitation, no further invites can be sent.

• The "Re-rent" button now only appears when the property is actually vacant.

• To re-rent to a previous tenant, simply end the current agreement first — then Re-rent works exactly as before.

Accurate income history, deletion fix & a notification chime

11 Jun 2026

Three improvements just landed:

• Your income history is now locked in. Changing a property's rent no longer affects what was already paid — every payment permanently remembers the amount it was made with. Past months stay exactly as they happened, everywhere: My Income, Analytics, statements and exports.

• You'll actually notice new notifications now. A soft chime plays, the bell gives a little shake, and the browser tab shows the unread count — like "(2) Mietto" — so you catch updates even while in another tab.

• Fixed: deleting a property sometimes failed with an error. It works properly now (only for properties without tenants, as always).

New: filter your analytics by property and tenant

11 Jun 2026

Landlords — your Analytics page just got a lot more precise:

• Two new filters at the top let you narrow everything down: pick a property, then optionally one of its tenants (current or past).
• All numbers follow your selection — revenue, pending, monthly chart, payment-status breakdown and the settlement table.
• Your filter stays active while you switch years or date ranges, and a small blue chip under the title always shows what you're looking at.
• Want the big picture back? Just set the filter to "All properties".

Perfect for checking exactly what a specific tenant paid — even one who has already moved out.
