Latest fixes and new features.
Readable locked months, keyboard-friendly uploads, and clearer navigation
New07 Sep 2026
Everything below is on the tenant side, and most of it came out of going through the app screen by screen.
PAYING YOUR RENT
• Months you can't pay yet were too faint to read. The month name, the number and the "Locked" label are all legible now, in both light and dark mode.
• Uploading a receipt works from the keyboard. Before, the upload box could only be reached with a mouse.
• Drag & drop actually works. The page offered it and nothing happened when you tried.
• The year arrows stop where your lease does, instead of paging forward into empty years — while still reaching any month you have paid ahead for.
• On narrow phones, long month names no longer spill out of their cards.
YOUR STATEMENT
• Amounts are written the way your language writes them — 1.750,00 € in German and Greek, €1,750.00 in English. The statement was the last page still doing it the other way round.
GETTING AROUND
• Browser tabs, history and bookmarks now name the page you are on, instead of showing the same title everywhere.
• The back button moves between dashboard sections, and you can bookmark or share a link to one.
• A broken link that led to an error page is gone.
• Form fields, icon buttons and status messages are properly labelled for screen readers throughout, in all three languages.
As always, this came out of testing. Keep the reports coming.

Corrected report totals and a decline button that works
07 Sep 2026
A smaller release than the last one — but one of these is a correction you should know about.
YOUR LANDLORD REPORT
• Per-property totals in the PDF were showing a single month instead of the whole period you selected. They now cover the full range. If you downloaded a report before today, the property breakdown was too low — worth downloading it again.
INVITATIONS
• The decline button on a pending invitation now actually declines it. Before, it did nothing at all — the page reloaded and the invitation stayed. Declining frees the property immediately and tells the landlord.
• The accept and decline buttons now read correctly in German and Greek for anyone using a screen reader.
EVERYWHERE ELSE
• Pages that send an email — signing up, inviting a tenant, approving a payment — no longer wait for it to go out. They respond straight away.
As always, this came out of testing. Keep the reports coming.

Deleting your account no longer erases the other person's records
07 Sep 2026
A smaller update than the last one, but it fixes something that mattered.
DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT
• Deleting used to take the other person's records with it. Once a lease had ended, deletion went through and erased the tenancy, its payments, and the receipts the other party had uploaded as their own proof. That is fixed.
• Your personal details are erased and you are signed out for good.
• The payment records you share with the other party stay as their proof, with your name removed.
• If no one else is involved, your account is deleted outright, exactly as before.
• Deleting now asks for your password first, so a session left open on a shared computer can't trigger it by accident.
• Your email address is released either way, so you can always sign up again.
SMALLER THINGS
• The accept and decline buttons on a pending invitation now read correctly in German and Greek for anyone using a screen reader.
As always, this came out of testing — keep the reports coming.

Clearer money figures, a rebuilt PDF report, and a long list of fixes
01 Sep 2026
This is a big one — a full pass over the app's money calculations, the landlord report, and a lot of small things that were quietly wrong.
YOUR RENT STATEMENT
• Months you've already paid stay paid. If your landlord changed the rent, previously-settled months were being recalculated at the new price, which could show arrears you never owed.
• Payments from before you joined Mietto now count properly. If your landlord recorded earlier months, those were being labelled as "paid in advance" instead of counting as the settled months they are.
• Your statement is yours alone. Only you can open it now.
FOR LANDLORDS
• The income card spells out what you've earned, what's paid ahead, and the total actually received — no more guessing whether one figure already includes the other.
• Rent paid far in advance is no longer invisible. If a tenant has covered months beyond the period you're viewing, both the page and the PDF now say how much and how far ahead.
• "Collection rate" now measures the share of money collected, not the number of payment entries. One large unpaid month is no longer hidden behind several small settled ones.
• Leases with payments recorded before their start date are flagged, with a one-click fix, so your ledger and your tenant's statement always agree.
THE PDF REPORT
• Rebuilt from the ground up. Labels and column headings render correctly, the smallest text is no longer too small to read comfortably in print, property blocks hold together instead of splitting across pages, and section headings no longer strand themselves at the bottom of a page.
• Amounts are now written the way your language writes them — 1.100,00 € in German and Greek, €1,100.00 in English — and the same everywhere: page, report and charts.
EVERYWHERE ELSE
• Deleting your account is blocked while a lease is still active, because it would also erase the other party's payment history and receipts. End the agreement first.
• A proper page when a form times out, explaining what happened and offering a way back in — instead of a blank browser error. Nothing is lost when it happens.
• The Dashboard button now sits in the same place on every page, and dashboard sections can be bookmarked and refreshed.
• Odd or mistyped web addresses no longer produce an error screen.
• "Beta" now reads as Beta in Greek, not a transliteration.
Almost all of this came from testing and from reports - keep them coming.

👻 Offline tenants - run any lease without waiting for a signup
07 Jul 2026
Not every tenant wants an app — and now they don't need one. When adding a tenant you can create an offline tenant with just their name: you log the payments yourself and keep the full ledger, history and reports.
Changed your mind later? One click on "Invite to Mietto" sends them a proper invitation — and when they join, the entire payment history is already there waiting for them.
Thank you, for using Mietto. 💙
📅 Add your existing lease — with its real start date
06 Jul 2026
Your lease didn't start today — and now Mietto knows that. When inviting a tenant you can set the real start date of the lease (even years back), or edit it later under Manage Tenants.
Then use the new "Catch up" button in the payment ledger to mark all past months as paid in one go. Full payment history, complete picture, one minute of setup.
Thank you for using Mietto. 💙
🌍 Switch languages anytime + a new blog
01 Jul 2026
You can now switch Mietto between English, German, and Greek right from the footer — no account settings needed. Pick your language and the whole site follows.
We've also launched the Mietto blog with practical guides for tenants and landlords — starting with how to get your deposit ("Kaution") back in Austria. Find it in the footer under "Blog".
Mietly is now Mietto 🎉
12 Jun 2026
We have a new name! Mietly is now Mietto — same app, same team, same mission: rent payments that both landlords and tenants can trust.
What's changing:
• The new home is mietto.app — update your bookmark!
• Emails now come from @mietto.app
• Support is now [email protected]
What's NOT changing: your account, your data, your payment history — everything stays exactly as it is. You don't need to do anything.
Thanks for being part of the beta 💙
A cleaner payment ledger
12 Jun 2026
For landlords — the My Payments view got a visual overhaul:
• Payments are now grouped by tenant. Your current tenant's payments come first under a green "Current tenant" header, and previous tenants follow under their own "Past Lease" sections — each showing the lease period (e.g. Jun 2025 – Jun 2026).
• Past leases appear slightly faded so the active tenancy always stands out. Hover over them to bring them into focus.
• Less clutter: the tenant's name is no longer repeated on every row.
Approving and rejecting payments works exactly as before — it just reads much better now.

Honest revenue numbers: earned vs. prepaid
12 Jun 2026
A big accuracy improvement for landlords:
• Revenue now means money for months that have actually arrived. If a tenant pays several months in advance, those amounts no longer inflate your Annual Revenue — they appear separately as a clear blue "prepaid for future months" note, on both My Income and Analytics.
• The monthly revenue chart now draws future, prepaid months as a lighter dashed line, so you can see at a glance what's real and what's early.
• "Avg / Month" is now calculated over the months that have actually passed — mid-year averages finally make sense.
• Nothing is hidden: earned + prepaid always adds up to everything you've collected. Past years are unaffected.
